What is EFT or Tapping

One of the primary ways Mind Muscle helps you beat your best is through EFT, also known as “tapping”. Find out what it is, how it works, who uses it and some of the benefits.

What is EFT or tapping?

EFT goes by many names: tapping, the tapping technique, the emotional freedom technique, emotional freedom techniques (with an ‘s’) and  even EFT tapping therapy. No matter what you call it (we prefer EFT or just plain tapping) the process is the same. Your fingers are used to stimulate various acupuncture points on the body whilst focusing on a specific physical symptom or negative feeling.

Tapping is one of the most effective and powerful ways for clearing out the emotional blocks that keep you from achieving what you want. Whether it is healing or improvement you seek, tapping can be universally applied to both kinds of situations and problems.

Tapping blends Western understanding of psychology, cognitive processing (thinking) and emotional states with Eastern understanding about the energy of the body and acupuncture points.

Tapping forms part of a broader base of modern tools and techniques known as energy psychology. Trained and qualified people who facilitate tapping sessions are referred to as energy psychologists, not to be confused with the traditional psychologist term.
